Diana Juiles-Peene was born in Philadelphia, Pa, lived in New Jersey until the age of eight and then as she would say moved to paradise or what others call California. She now lives in Lititz Pa with her husband and their dog Dutchess
As a child her imagination was fueled by the bookmobile which visited her neighborhood once a week. Lingering for hours and losing herself in books like Clan of the cave bear and poems by Lord Byron. These words nourished her thirst to discover and write about worlds other than her own. By sixteen, she was constantly writing stories and poems. In high school her English teacher gave the class an assignment to write a short story. A week later, he informed the class that there was one story that had stood out amongst the rest and he read her story. After class he informed Diana how wonderful her story was, and that she had a gift. Unfortunately her gift was not cultivated and she stopped writing,until now and the flood gates have opened. |
